The idea's simple: for one month out of each year, unite every police and fire agency
across the fruited plain with a common message.

FOR ILLUSTRATION ONLY. ACTUAL BADGES ARE CUSTOMIZED TO
APPROPRIATE RANK, STATE SEAL, AGENCY AND CONTROL NUMBER

SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 NEVER FORGET

Even though years have passed since 09/11/01, we need to remind the public we've not forgotten and we're still united in the business of saving lives.

Every September,  police, fire and federally recognized EMS first responders across America will wear the same badge because we share the same mission. Should another attack occur, we'll respond because we're united in the business of saving lives. Even if it means risking our own lives to do so.

On January 2, 2012, we began inviting first responders across the United States to join this unique national project.  Via approval from their department heads, we'll provide the shields to badge carrying members of their respective agencies.

The project is called "American First Responders United." As word spreads, every year additional agencies across the US will join so they too can wear their America's First Responders UNITED badge each September.

To accommodate brethren who wear stars, Absolute Victory Insignia is proud to announce we now have an America's First Responder UNITED badge for them. As with the oval, this seven point star is a one piece design and memorializes the fallen as well as serves as a reminder we are united to serve. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department, one of the largest sheriff's department's in the United States, will be the first agency in the US to wear the new star.

As first responders, we share a common joy of serving the public and we feel the common pain when a member of our profession falls in the line of duty. The recent tragedy involving the deaths of 19 brave firefighters in Arizona is once again a stark reminder that as the public runs from the danger there are still brave men and women who will go towards it even though they are well aware of the costs.

Let us never forget the brave men and women who choose this lifestyle. And whether they drive a police car or a firetruck, they deserve the respect and support of all Americans, not only in this time of mourning, but everyday as they walk the line to protect us and our way of life.

God bless all of the men and women who serve as firefighters and law enforcement officers. RIP.

- Ed LaValle and Steve Willard

They do not imply or express support for anything other than the brave men and women who took up arms to save the world from the Imperialist Japanese and the Nazis during the world's greatest struggle for freedom. Let us never forget the greatest generation, our WWII veterans...Without them freedom would not be possible.
